It’s going to be a busy year for me, as an author.
I have not one, but two books coming out, the first of which has its official publication day on World Book Day (March 5th).
If you’re a regular reader of this blog, you may have heard of the Time School series. I’ve previously written about the inspiration behind it and I published the first book of the series with Toubador in 2018.
It has since been taken up by the wonderful Hashtag Press, who have revamped Book One and will be publishing Book Two, ‘Time School: We Will Honour Them’, in June.
I just love the new look. what do you think?
After conducting some creative writing workshops over the Christmas holidays, with my writing club, Storymakers, I’ve kept the flow going and thrown myself straight into the new year by starting it with a school visit.
It was a hectic day of workshops, talks and readings but it gave me such a buzz to get out there and talk about my work as an author, as well as injecting an enthusiasm for writing into others.
I’m starting to get booked up for further school visits in the run up to publication day and, of course, World Book Day itself. If you do want to book an author visit from me, you can view all the details on my Contact an Author page.
This July will mark my third year of running the Storymakers Creative Writing Club. By then, I will have three books published and with three established groups at the club, I feel it is the year of threes! I’m not sure what I’ll be doing to celebrate that fact, but I will definitely by marking the occasion. Watch this space, as they say.
I am already well on the way with Book Three of Time School and it is my aim for this year, to get cracking with Book Four. It’s all very exciting and I can’t wait hear what you think of it.
