Food allergy and intolerance myth buster
In a former life I worked for the Food Standards Agency as part of the team that was responsible for raising awareness of food allergies and intolerance, as well as commissioning research in this area and working with food manufacturers on labelling and contamination issues. I know they do a great job and as a parent of a child who suffers with food intolerances, I understand that raising awareness amongst the general population is really important.
So if you have a moment to spare, I urge you to take a look at this information and test your own knowledge. Hopefully you will learn something new and by sharing this information, we might just help to dispel some of the myths that surround food allergy and intolerance.
I don’t have food allergies and my kids don’t have any. I feel blessed by that, but at the same our entire family (both kids and hubby and me) are allergic to penicillin.
What a nightmare that must be for you all. It’s good that you know and do can avoid them though. Thankfully there are alternatives. I think penicillin has been over used.
